Job Title: Nurse Manager NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager NICU to lead and support a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a large specialized womens and childrens healthcare facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered neonatal care operational excellence staff development and continuous quality improvement within the NICU.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise in neonatal care proven leadership experience and a passion for advancing outcomes for newborns and families.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director with daily department operations and strategic planning
Support department alignment with organizational mission vision and values
Coordinate and participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Initiatives
Ensure delivery of evidence-based patient-centered nursing care
Provide direct clinical and operational support to NICU nursing staff
Assist in staffing scheduling and workforce planning
Support clinical education competency development and staff mentoring
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration across Womens Services
Assist in planning implementation and evaluation of patient care services
Maintain compliance with regulatory accreditation and safety standards
Contribute to a positive work culture and high-performing team environment
Required Qualifications
2 years of recent NICU leadership experience (Manager or Charge Nurse level) in an acute care setting
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of Texas or Multi-State Compact)
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Required
