Following its establishment in 2012 Plzeň has grown into our fastest-growing Engineering Development Center in Europe. The center focuses on the design and development of Lear products including complex seating mechanisms and structures foams coatings plastics and trim components. The vision for Plzen is not to work as an internal supplier for our European business units but to develop into a leading Design and Development Center working on projects for all major European OEM customer groups from concept phase through to delivery.
Your responsibilities:
- Preparing and negotiating product offers and following up on change requests
- Developing offer strategies to meet project goals / monitoring project results
- Constructive collaboration with the project team (development purchasing operations and program management)
- Price review and maintenance
- Internal reporting
- First point of contact for the customer for the project
- Competitor monitoring and analysis
Your qualifications:
- Successfully completed degree in economics or engineering or alternatively commercial/technical training
- Professional experience in the automotive industry preferably in purchasing sales program management or development at an automotive supplier or OEM
- Due to the international orientation of the company business fluent English skills are required
- Ability to work in a team and communication skills in an international environment
- Economic thinking and customer orientation
- Negotiation skills and independent working style
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the country and abroad
- Ideally German speaking
