Data Centre Operative

The role

As a key member of our Data Centre Team Data Centre Operatives are on the front line managing day-to-day operations and ensuring exceptional service for our role is primarily focused on executing moves and changes within the data centre campus. Responsibilities include the physical relocation and installation of servers and associated hardware across our facilities.

This is afixed term contract and anight shift position operating on a 4-on 4-off schedule. The rota includes weekends and bank holidays.

What will I be doing

• Taking part and adding value to project work
• A duty to escalate and communicate work halting issues if no solution is available.
• Taking care of deliveries and all goods in
• Meet ticket and task response SLAs
• Work with a large percentage of deployed hardware
• Cabling and testing ability
• General Housekeeping duties

What will I bring to the role

• A team player
• A full clean driving licence (essential)
• A general interest in IT hardware
• A general interest in data centres and information technology
• All training will be given so previous experience in a data centre isnt essential
