A Day in the Life:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the facility in Council Bluffs IA including diagnostics troubleshooting and repair of equipment and instruments.

Position Details:

Monday through Friday day shift with overtime and on-call as needed

Pay: $32.34 an hour

What Youll Be Doing:

Perform mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines equipment and plant facility
Complete emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual situation
Perform welding including light fabrication of spouts transitions etc. from sheet metal including all positions (Stick MIG and TIG)
Rebuild pumps and gearboxes
Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
Rebuild repair and replace damaged defective or worn parts
Read and interpret equipment manuals blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
General maintenance skills
General troubleshooting skills
Welding experience (Stick MIG and TIG)
Knowledge of bearing installation and clearance setting
Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAP maintenance software
Experience with PLC HVAC and vacuum furnace
