We are currently hiring an ISV Product Manager at GCB4/VP level

Issuer Services (ISV) provides operational and administrative trustee and agency services across seven core products (Conventional Debt Structured Debt Repackaged Notes Project & Export Finance Syndicated Loans Third Party Loan Agency and Escrows) to enable clients (global companies financial institutions and capital market investors) to pursue international capital market activities. ISV supports and administers all events through the life cycle of a debt instrument from issuance to final maturity expediting movements of cash and securities protecting the rights of interested parties and assisting our CIB colleagues with the identification of ISV solutions to meet client requirements.

The Product Manager role is responsible for managing the execution of product strategy and BAU maintenance and operational support across the ISV Bond product suite. Product Manager leads day to day coordination and delivery of product upkeep tasks including working with internal stakeholders to effect change to operating model and process(es); expanding existing products to new markets; futureproofing product offering through deployment of existing and new / emerging technologies; and market development intelligence gathering and competitor product positioning.

The jobholder will be required to work with internal teams both onshore and offshore Risk Stewards Operations Technology teams and business stakeholders to maximise HSBC Issuer Services global product proposition.

Accountabilities for Business Customers and Stakeholders

  • Manage and prioritise BAU product maintenance tasks including documentation updates minor enhancements data requests and issue resolution
  • Act as a key point of coordination between business and offshore product teams to drive implementation of product changes
  • Ensure effective execution of product change requests including product approvals in collaboration with technology/ IT Ops and other functions
  • Maintain and track the ISV product book-of-work. Publish regular updates and MI on Product Development and Management activity
  • Contribute to and assist offshore product teams with product research and analysis preparation of business cases and competitor analysis and share intel with global product teams.
  • Maintain oversight of product artefacts to ensure accuracy and readiness for audit regulatory and governance purposes
  • Track and report product maintenance activities and ensure appropriate escalation of risks or delays
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement streamlining and digitization
  • Futureproof ISV product proposition by researching emerging technology with a view to implementing technology solutions in BAU environment

Key Skills and Experience required

  • Proven experience in a comparable role and able to demonstrate a broad and comprehensive understanding of the International Debt Capital Markets specifically issuance and bond lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of ISV products
  • Knowledge and/or interest in Gen AI or API and understanding of how they are implemented - desirable
  • Execution focussed with a proven record of commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills incl. effective listening and negotiation.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines manage priorities effectively and escalate matters in a timely manner.
  • Strong time management and presentation skills.
