Responsibilities
Operate as a spokesperson for clients business needs to determine appropriate computer-related solutions to business problems. The Sr. Business Analyst provides analysis definition and direction to computer-related development and maintenance activities and assists with ensuring that correct business functionality requirements and industry standards are addressed within the computer applications. Conduct weekly calls with clients to review open issues and prioritize issues. Perform functional analysis of issues reported by clients gather requirements identify gaps and coordinate with internal teams to address the gaps. Analyze CMS and State specific EDI companion guides to define data and rules requirements. Write custom business rules to meet client specific requirements in the solution and rules for data mapping and transformation. Perform analysis of customer data using information available in application and SQL queries identify any issues and promptly report to customers for timely resolution to achieve better acceptance rates. Write proof of concept reports using a variety of reporting methods and develop sample data for use in demonstrations. Monitor and perform basic technical analysis of the solution to help identify any system issues and involve appropriate internal teams to resolve issues in a timely manner. Ensure quality of a complete product by being involved from inception through release phases of the development life cycle. Serve as domain and functional expert for customer and internal teams. Must be willing to travel as needed approximately 80%. No international travel. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. available. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business Administration or related field. A foreign degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business Administration or related field is acceptable. Five (5) years of experience in any occupation in which required skills were gained. 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in business/system analysis in the healthcare industry including: 5 years of experience interpreting requirements and developing functional specifications; 5 years of experience analyzing and solving business/systems problems in the healthcare or IT industry; 5 years of experience working with Healthcare EDI transactions including HL7 HIPAA and NCPDP; 5 years of experience testing and test planning of large enterprise systems; 5 years of experience leading/managing teams; 2 years of experience in business process analysis mapping projects related to ICD-10 migration; and 2 years of experience applying knowledge of functional areas impacted by ICD-10 migration and defining custom solutions for ICD-10 clients. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education training or experience is acceptable. Employer will also accept a Masters degree in Computer Science Business Administration or related field. Masters degree in Computer Science Business Administration or related field is acceptable. Three (3) years of experience in any occupation in which required skills were gained. 3 years of experience in business/system analysis in the healthcare industry including: 3 years of experience interpreting requirements and developing functional specifications; 3 years of experience analyzing and solving business/systems problems in the healthcare or IT industry; 3 years of experience working with Healthcare EDI transactions including HL7 HIPAA and NCPDP; 3 years of experience testing and test planning of large enterprise systems; 3 years of experience leading/managing teams; 1 year of experience in business process analysis mapping projects related to ICD-10 migration; and 1 year of experience applying knowledge of functional areas impacted by ICD-10 migration and defining custom solutions for ICD-10 clients. Base compensation ranges from at least $108514. Specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience education skills certifications and other business needs.
