Duties and Responsibilities:
Presents trainings for partner agency staff outside agencies professionals and the general community on child sexual abuse-related issues including the technology environment in which it thrives and its prevention.
Make public appearances on behalf of The Childrens Assessment Center (The CAC).
Training presentations
Speak publicly about The CAC and deliver face-to-face trainings to educate the public community parents educators and partners on the services The CAC provides and related topics.
Deliver prepared presentations on the prevention of child sexual abuse throughout Harris County to adults and youth.
Develop relationships with community members churches schools camps corporations and other organizations who want or need child abuse trainings for staff volunteers or other adults.
Coordinate continuing education trainings for professionals in the field of child sexual abuse and related programs.
Maintain continuing education records to ensure The CAC meets all continuing education requirements from state and national certification agencies
Assist in setting up audio visual and technical needs in the training center
Update training log for accurate reporting of data from the training department
Manage room usage of the training center
Create announcements and advertisements for upcoming trainings.
Update The CAC and Harris County Websites with training announcements.
Support The CAC on site Activity Center when needed and have direct contact with children between the ages of newborn to 17 years old.
Engage and establish rapport with children as they await services at the CAC.
Prepare monthly Training Newsletter

Education:
Bachelors Degree.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Skilled and engaging trainer with a background in social service or a related field.
Must have a working knowledge of the latest technological trends.
Excellent organizational and communication skills within diverse communities are a must.
The successful candidate must be available to provide presentations on workdays nights and weekends and have reliable transportation.
Licensure:
Valid Texas Driver License required with Good Driving record.

Bachelors Degree program in the field of child development social work or education preferred.
Minimum of one year experience teaching and training adults and youth preferred.
Knowledge of the dynamics of child sexual abuse and child advocacy is a plus.
Bilingual written and oral in Spanish Preferred

Full Time
40 hours per week
