Senior IT Manager Manufacturing

Role Overview
The Senior IT Manager is the senior onsite IT leader responsible for the reliability security and day-to-day operation of technology supporting manufacturing and business systems. This is a hands-on role in a production-driven environment working closely with Operations Engineering Quality Finance and managed service providers.
The role balances practical execution with vendor management and pragmatic planning. System uptime cybersecurity and clear communication are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure reliable operation of ERP/MRP production inventory quality and plant-floor systems
- Remain hands-on in troubleshooting and resolving issues that impact production
- Manage and hold managed service providers accountable for service quality and outcomes
- Oversee infrastructure networks endpoints backups and disaster recovery
- Own day-to-day cybersecurity posture and risk mitigation
- Provide internal ownership prioritization and coordination of IT initiatives directing execution across managed service providers and other vendors as appropriate
- Partner with operations and leadership to improve usability data quality and reliability
- Manage IT budget vendors licensing and procurement
- Establish IT policies standards and governance appropriate for a manufacturing environment
Required Experience
- 7 years of IT experience including leadership or senior responsibility
- Experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong hands-on knowledge of infrastructure networking and security
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication and vendor management skills
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to plant-floor systems or OT/IT integration
- Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and production reporting
- Experience managing managed service providers
