Job Description Summary

The Commercial Banking CFO provides strategic and financial leadership for Wintrusts commercial banking lines of business (LOBs) supporting loan and deposit growth profitability risk management and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with Commercial Banking leadership Credit Treasury Risk and Executive Management to drive disciplined financial performance across commercial banking products (i.e. loans and deposits) including C&I and middle-market lending. The role also supports Wintrusts community bank structure providing enterprise-level financial leadership to drive local decision-making relationship growth and disciplined profitability.

What Youll Do

  • Serve as the primary financial advisor to Commercial Banking leadership and LOB executives. Develop and execute financial strategies that support growth margin optimization and return on assets (ROA) / return on equity (ROE) across the commercial banking portfolio. Oversee budgeting and forecasting for Commercial Banking LOB.
  • Analyze loan and deposit portfolio performance including net interest margin fee income cost of funds and operating efficiency. Provide detailed profitability analysis by product LOB and other characteristics.
  • Partner with Treasury on balance sheet strategy and pricing related to Commercial Banking. Monitor credit quality trends and portfolio concentrations. Support loan pricing models and ROA/ROE frameworks.
  • Work closely with Credit Administration Risk Management and Controllership to ensure strong financial controls and compliance with regulatory standards. Support regulatory exams internal audits and management reviews related to Commercial Banking.
  • Present financial results and trends senior management committees and other individuals as needed. Deliver timely accurate financial reporting for Commercial Banking LOBs. Identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
  • 10 years of significant experience in role(s) supporting various Commercial Banking LOBs.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $250000-$275000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors such as a candidates qualifications skills and experience.
