Job Summary
Job Title: Business Analyst
Work Arrangement: Onsite (5 days/week)
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will support enterprise programs by reviewing existing data and reporting models and redesigning analytical and operational reporting solutions to be scalable flexible and future-ready.
The role will initially focus on one core program area but will expand to support multiple business programs and applications including the development of new data and reporting products to address evolving priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end business analysis services across diverse business and technology initiatives
Engage business stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit document analyze and validate requirements
Lead requirements discovery using interviews workshops JAD sessions mockups and user story mapping
Develop and document:
Business requirements
Functional and non-functional requirements
Use cases process flows and data models
Translate business needs into epics and user stories and maintain them in Azure DevOps
Apply business process re-engineering techniques to improve service delivery and operational efficiency
Develop business cases feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses
Support business transformation initiatives with a focus on business architecture and UI/UX
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and solution design
Monitor progress resolve issues and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Develop traceability matrices performance measures and supporting documentation
Promote best practices standards and consistency in business analysis activities
Required Skills & Experience
Business Analysis & Problem Solving
Strong experience in:
Requirements elicitation and documentation
Gap analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions
UI/UX-focused analysis and recommendations
Proven experience facilitating workshops and discovery sessions using Agile Waterfall or Hybrid approaches
Hands-on experience writing epics and user stories in Azure DevOps
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language
Experience working with stakeholders across multiple programs and business areas
Technical & Data Knowledge
Experience leading or supporting business transformation and solution design initiatives
Strong understanding of:
Enterprise data warehouses data marts and data lakes
Data modeling concepts (Kimball Inmon)
Business architecture for analytics platforms (Azure-based preferred)
Experience supporting development teams with:
Requirements gathering
Design documentation
Source-to-target mapping
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and data-driven solution delivery
Awareness of accessibility standards (AODA WCAG)
Organizational & Project Skills
Ability to plan manage and support complex initiatives
Experience with task estimation scheduling and dependency management
Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience preparing:
Business cases
Briefing notes
Presentations and stakeholder updates
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage expectations and drive consensus
Must-Have Qualifications
Strong experience in requirements elicitation documentation and gap analysis
Experience facilitating requirements workshops (Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid)
Hands-on experience writing user stories in Azure DevOps
Experience leading business transformation or solution design initiatives
Knowledge of business architecture for enterprise data platforms
