West Monroe is excited to hire aCybersecurity Senior Managertoleadcarveout merger integrationand other post-close M&Aprojectswith a focus onhigh-velocitycybersecurityprogramstandupsand senior managerwill often leadconsulting teamsindevelopingand implementingcybersecuritycarveout and/or integration plans includingcybersecurity architecture/designprocess&policy creationsecuritycontrolsimplementationgovernance/risk/compliance(GRC)standupresiliency planning application & cloud securityandtools/vendor selectionand role will also help clients with cybersecurity organization design resource planning and total cost of ownership (TCO)/cost modeling todeterminethe one-time and recurring investmentsneededto transition to andsustain newstandaloneand/orintegratedsecurity is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growthfirmtrusted by the nationsleading private equitysponsorstoprovide cybersecurityadvisory execution and leadershipforcomplex carveout and integration transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Act asCybersecurityLead onclientengagements involvingcarveout-to-standalonecarveout-to-integration merger integration and otherM&Atransactions
- Roadmap and develop robustcybersecurityprograms through the lens ofcyberresiliency includingleadingdiscovery and solutioningworkshops assessingthe cybersecurity operating modelenvironment(people processes and technology)anddevelopingestimatesfor one-timetransitioncostsandgo-forwardoperating model (run rateinvestments)
- Provide strategiccybersecurity advisorydue diligence andtransformationservices ranging from policy definition tocontrolsimplementationtoolselection and overallprogrambuild andadoption
- Introducecybersecurity controls to newly formedand/or mergedorganizationswith the goal of mitigatingthe chance of ransomware attacks orother securityincidents
- Leadtransaction execution initiativesas part of defined cybersecurity roadmaps including Day 1 readiness and longer-term transition projects interfacing will all levels of management and personnel internally and at client organization
- Position security initiatives to build or drive maturity toclientscybersecurity programs recommending remediation and improvementsforkey security domains such as Identity Data Cloud SecOps AI etc.
- Managerelationships withPrivate Equityexecutivesand otherindustryclient contactstodetermineproject requirements and provide status updates; translate requirementsinto concrete proposals including detailed work plans and cost estimates
- Lead consultants on engagements delegate workstreams and act as career advisor/mentor
- Assistwithand/orlead business development efforts includingSOW developmentandidentifyingpotential new client pursuits
- Contribute to practice developmentbymentoringjunior consultantsonbest practices stayingabreast of industry trendscreatingreusable methodologies and offeringexpertiseto theCybersecuritypractice anddiscipline
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experiencerequired
- Consulting firm/industry experience preferredin particularfamiliaritywithcybersecuritycarveoutmerger integrationandotherpost-closetransactionM&A-relatedprojectdynamics
- 8-12years ofexperience incybersecurityleading complex projects in a fast-paced environmentwith broad knowledge of varioussecuritydomainsas it applies tocarveout and merger integration M&A transactions:security architectureGRCcontrolsdeploymentincident response planning cloud security application security data privacythreat intelligenceetc.
- Adept at leadingcybersecurityrisk & controls assessments using frameworks such as NISTCSForISO/IEC 27001
- Experience with MSP and MSSP servicesstrongly preferred
- Knowledge of varioussecuritycompliance and privacy frameworks:PCIDSS HIPAAHITRUSTFedRAMPGDPR CCPACMMCetc.
- Experienceproject managinganddeliveringend-to-end solutions: people managementstrategy/roadmapdevelopmentdesign/architectureimplementation change managementetc.
- Knowledge of cybersecurityproducts and serviceslandscape including leadingprovidersacross key security domains (e.g. Managed Detection & Response (MDR))
- Confident in conveyingcomplexcybersecurity concepts toexecutive client stakeholders
- Excellent verbal presentation/facilitation and written communication skills
- Willingness to travelfor client engagements(15-20%per year on average)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Based on pay transparency guidelines the salaryrange for this role canvary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (seetable below). Information on our competitive total rewards packageincluding our bonus structure and benefits ishere. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geographyexperience skills education and internal equity.
