Were looking for a technical team leader who combines people leadership with hands-on architecture work in AWS.Job description
We offer work agreement on the territory of Poland.
We offer hybrid work - 12 days of home office monthly.
Youll lead a team of 7 engineers working on an ingestion gateway for the ESET XDR platform a system processing large volumes of security data for enterprise customers.
This is not a pure management role youre expected to stay close to the technology shape architecture decisions and actively help the team solve technical challenges.
Expected split: 70% technical / 30% leadership.
The team is primarily based in Kraków (Poland) with members in Brno (Czechia) and collaborates with HQ in Bratislava (Slovakia).
What youll do
* Lead a team of 7 engineers (mentoring feedback growth)
* Act as a technical authority for AWS infrastructure and services
* Design and review cloud architecture (scalability reliability security)
* Work closely with product and engineering stakeholders on priorities and delivery
* Improve engineering practices (CI/CD observability automation)
* Stay hands-on when needed (code reviews debugging unblocking the team)
What we expect
* Experience leading a technical team (or strong senior ready to step up)
* Solid experience with AWS and cloud architecture design
* Ability to design and operate distributed systems
* Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. C# Python)
* Good understanding of:
* CI/CD
* infrastructure as code
* high availability & security principles
* Strong communication skills and cross-team collaboration
* English proficiency (daily communication)
Nice to have
* Experience with Docker Kubernetes Terraform
* Experience with high-throughput / data ingestion systems
* Polish (B2)
