About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sport Coordinator to join our Springfield Sport Department. Sthe College has recently been accepted as part of the Greater Brisbane Conference Sporting Association after a long association with QGSSSA and AIC Sporting Associations. As such we are focused on developing a program that strives for excellence and is grounded in the values of fairness and sportsmanship.
The position of Sport Coordinator manages the operations of the Sport Co-curricular program in one or more of the following:
- Primary Sport; or
- Secondary Sport; or
- A specific individual sport (e.g. Football Coordinator); or
- District Regional or One-day Carnival Sport opportunities.
Multiple positions may be available based on applicant skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Co-curricular Sport program in one or more areas including the administration of the program and the management of staff.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sport Co-curricular Program/s.
- Coordination of Sport Staff
- Assist with the appointment and review of staff (e.g. coaches) involved in the Co-curricular Sport program.
- Coordinate all teams (and therefore student ages) involved in the sport for the season
- Be visible and act as primary contact for assigned sports for staff students and parents and act as a representative for the College demonstrating a professional presence complemented with positive communication with all stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Relevant qualifications or experience in sport management administration or a related field. Current First Aid/CPR qualifications are advantageous.
- Proven ability to coordinate and deliver programs and apply school sport policies and procedures to maintain consistent operational standards.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and coordinate coaches and sport staff
- High-level administrative and operational competence in season planning weekly fixture coordination risk and facility management records management communication logistics and liaison with transport officials and support services to ensure reliable program delivery.
- High-level organisational analytical and problem-solving skills
