Interim Controller

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a real estate investment firm who is seeking an Interim Controller to join their team on an interim basis. This opportunity is with a wellestablished familyowned real estate investment organization headquartered in Austin Texas. The firm has operated successfully for over three decades and manages a diversified portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties. Annual revenues are approximately $25 million.
The Interim Controller will step into a lean accounting environment and assume responsibility for the full accounting function during a transition period. This role is designed for a highly handson accounting leader who can immediately stabilize core processes ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain continuity across daily operations.

Position Overview
The Interim Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting operations including monthend close financial reporting and support of the tax addition to maintaining daytoday stability this individual will review and enhance existing procedures.
This role is tactical and executionfocused requiring a professional who is comfortable working independently in a smallteam environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the monthly close process with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform all core accounting functions in a fully handson capacity
- Prepare financial reporting and provide support for the annual tax process
- Review document and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Controller or senior accounting role within the real estate industry
- Strong background in property management and real estate investment accounting
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a small streamlined environment
- Experience with AppFolio strongly preferred
- Ability to transition into the role quickly and provide immediate impact
