Job Summary
For our global eDevelopment we are looking for a UX Design Intern (m/f/d) at our location in Ulm.
At Liebherr we develop and manufacture a wide range of high-quality products for domestic and commercial use. Alongside this we are continuously expanding our reach into the digital world with connected products and applications that deliver meaningful value to our customers.
Why do we need you The Liebherr-Digital Development Center is growing and with it our UX team. We are building strong design capabilities to shape digital products across the entire Liebherr Group. This internship is designed as a hands-on learning opportunity for aspiring UX designers who want to gain real-world experience in complex product environments.
As a UX Design Intern at Liebherr you will work closely with experienced designers and multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to real products learn professional UX workflows and develop your skills in a supportive mentoring environment. You will gain exposure to domains such as industry construction retail and more.
Creating passion: your responsibilities
- Support the creation of user-centered concepts for digital products and services (e.g. apps websites platforms) using design and prototyping tools
- Assist in translating design ideas and decisions into clear and understandable stories and presentations
- Learn and apply UX methods and workflows to contribute to effective design outcomes
- Support user research activities by helping select prepare and apply appropriate research methods
- Participate in workshops and collaborative sessions gradually learning how to facilitate and contribute actively
- Collaborate with brand and design system teams to understand and apply existing design standards
- Develop an understanding of the value of UX and help communicate design perspectives within project teams
- Work with agile project teams supporting collaboration with product owners project managers and developers
Contributing your strengths: your qualifications
- An interest in interdisciplinary design and curiosity about different design disciplines (e.g. UX UI visual design service design UX research)
- Initial experience or educational background in user experience design human-centered design interaction design or a related field (e.g. university studies projects or internships)
- Familiarity with visual interface and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma or similar) with a willingness to deepen these skills
- Interest in agile ways of working and curiosity about new technologies trends and digital products
- Good communication skills and an openness to presenting ideas and discussing design decisions in a team setting
- Fluency in English; German skills at a conversational level (B2 or higher preferred) or willingness to improve
