Job Summary
Locum Physician - Radiology - Mammography Position Available in Hartford CT
Join a reputable healthcare facility in Hartford Connecticut as a Locum Radiology - Mammography Physician. This role is embedded in a busy hospital environment with some opportunities for remote work and is ideal for professionals ready to be part of a supportive team. This position is part of a group model transitioning to an employed setting providing the chance to make a significant impact in patient care. The practice includes a diverse patient demographic aged from neonates to geriatrics ensuring a wide variety of cases and experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform mammography procedures including reading diagnosis and biopsy.
- Work M-F from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with no call or weekend shifts.
- Collaborate with a full complement of support staff within a busy department.
- Utilize documentation systems such as EPIC PowerScribe and PACS.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Engage in effective communication with referring clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Fellowship training in Breast Imaging is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in current radiology IT platforms.
- Experience in high-volume clinical environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality safety and patient-centered care.
- Prior experience with hybrid onsite/remote workflows is a plus.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid medical license (or eligibility) in Connecticut.
- DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification or eligibility to obtain both.
- Current BLS certification (ACLS optional depending on subspecialty).
