POSITION RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Supervised by the Supervisor or in his absence the Director of Maintenance and Engineering Positions Supervised: May be asked to provide functional supervision of others on occasion
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES: Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge gained in a combination of education and experience Candidate must have completed an accredited trade school course of study or a trade apprenticeship program in electrical wiring and the applications of electricity and electrical equipment
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have a Journeymans license
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: 5 years experience in the construction installation and maintenance of electrical facilities is necessary.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of English required. Requires math reading adaptability logic driving and typing/word processing. Requires ability to operate specialized equipment: i.e. power tools portable meters emergency generators.
WORKING CONDITIONS: All areas of the hospital grounds and out-buildings; works in heights and heat; subject to exposure to changes in temperature and humidity; the noise level can be high; work pace is generally steady with occasional emergencies. Subject to shift rotation. Exposed to moving machinery. Subject to exposure to bloodborne pathogens dust fumes odors mists gases biological mechanical electrical chemical and other hazardous materials. The incumbent is expected to adhere to the Hospitals Drug and Smoke Free work environment and to adhere to OSHA mandates and precautionary measures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand walk stoop reach bend push/pull kneel crouch and perform repetitive movements for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift supplies and/or equipment up to 70 pounds. The employee uses sight hearing speech and smell. Specific vision requirements include visual acuity color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Employees must understand and abide by hospital-wide and department-specific dress code requirements as per HR Dress Code Policy
Salary Range: Minimum 32.63/hour - Maximum 53.82/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
