You are a part of
Hyper-Automation Team being set up to drive Solution Automation across Multiple Platforms as part of the Central Architecture team.
To succeed in this role youll need a customer-first attitude and the following
You are responsible for:
Developing and maintaining microservices and APIs that integrate diverse systems and services across Philips platforms.
Building secure reusable REST and event-driven APIs using Java (Spring Boot) or Python (FastAPI).
Implementing data pipelines and event streaming using Apache Kafka including topic design consumer group management and real-time message processing.
Supporting AI/ML and Generative AI use cases including integrating LLMs and connecting to AI APIs
Ensuring code quality testing and observability
Participating in DevOps practices including CI/CD setup code versioning containerization and deployment pipelines.
Assisting in defining API governance OpenAPI specification and maintaining detailed API documentation through Swagger/Postman.


Looking for candidates with deep expertise in:

Education & Experience

BE/BTech/MS in Computer Science or related fields.
4 to 7 years of progressive experience developing distributed cloud-based software solutions
Demonstrated hands-on expertise in building APIs and microservices within enterprise environments.
Backend & API Development
Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and practical experience with Python (FastAPI).
Deep understanding of REST JSON and event-driven system design principles.
Experience developing secure reusable APIs and implementing authentication/authorization using OAuth2 JWT and API Gateway.
Working knowledge of GraphQL WebSockets and asynchronous messaging patterns for scalable real-time systems.
Skilled in developing and maintaining microservices architectures with strong focus on performance observability and maintainability.

Cloud & DevOps
Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (EKS EC2 S3 IAM CloudWatch) for deployment and monitoring.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for scalable environments.
Experience with logging tracing and monitoring frameworks (Grafana Prometheus ELK Stack).

Streaming & Messaging
Working knowledge of Apache Kafka Kafka Streams or equivalent platforms for event streaming and asynchronous communication.

AI & Generative AI Integration
Exposure to Large Language Model (LLM) APIs (e.g. OpenAI Azure OpenAI).
Understanding prompt engineering and AI-driven workflow automation.

Soft Skills & Mindsets
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Clear communicator able to translate technical work into business impact.
Collaborative and adaptive comfortable working in globally distributed teams.
Passion for learning new technologies and driving continuous improvement.


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities generally at the customers or suppliers locations.
