POSITION PURPOSE
The individual in this position will lead the design procurement uptime/restoral-time priorities security levels maintenance documentation and adoption of Carroll Whites Information Technology (IT) systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role an individual must be able to perform in a satisfactory manner the functions listed below. The company will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
- Put safety above all else in all situations including but not limited to system design training for self and staff in operational procedures for all
- Manage and monitor IT projects and day-to-day IT operations
- Conduct both short-term and long-range planning
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve member and employee services through technology
- Lead technology adoption by employees and members as directed by the Board CEO and staff
- Prepare and manage the IT budget; oversee ordering and IT vendor relationships
- Provide leadership priority guidance and oversight to IT staff to assure our networks reliability and security
- Attend and proactively participate in IEC IT Section Meetings Board meetings Management Team meetings and other ad hoc meetings. Seek opportunities to attend and serve in industry organizations
- Utilizes and oversee Development Performance and Recognition (DPR) for self and IT staff
- Responsible for the delegation training and appraisal process of IT employees
- Actively participates in succession planning for IT and the coop
- Assures front line technical support for users
- Ensure system backup/restoral procedures are documented and validated through simulations
- Performing other duties as assigned by the CEO

Qualifications :
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Five or more years of IT management experience with emphasis on technology acquisition and adoption

- Knowledge of MDM platforms and cellular device management
- Skilled in WAN methodologies and cellular endpoints
- SCADA and AMI infrastructure experience preferred
- Experience with cloud-based phone systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to communicate with non-technical users
- Ability to research building and software needs
