Underwriting Team Manager

Youll lead a team of skilled underwriters shape best practice and play a key role in ensuring our lending is responsible consistent and customerfocused.

What youll be doing:

• Leading coaching and developing a team of underwriters to build capability and support their ongoing professional growth
• Providing technical training and guiding the team in managing workloads effectively
• Delivering highquality and responsible lending decisions within our risk appetite
• Acting as an escalation point for complex queries and complaints and driving learning through rootcause analysis
• Working closely with Operations and Risk teams to review MI identify trends and improve customer outcomes
• Embedding conduct risk principles into daytoday activity to ensure fair outcomes for customers
• Building strong working relationships across the business and supporting crossfunctional collaboration
• Contributing to process and policy improvements to enhance efficiency and decision quality
