CPD Head EASA

Role purpose

• Lead the CP R&D and Regulatory teams within the BA EASA to ensure seamless interaction
• Own the CP development portfolio manage during PDC cycle in alignment with the BA strategy and commercial priorities
• Oversee all innovation projects in the BA and ensure their technical integrity on time delivery and thorough planning of their introduction in coordination with the Technical Market Development (TMD) and commercial teams
• Lead and develop the BA technical expertise and technical community ensuring efficient use of resources cohesive communication and consistent interaction with TMD and Commercial functions
• Lead and execute effective technical external communication and influencing aligned with commercial objectives to ensure the licence to operate for the business
• Turn technical topics and issues into commercial opportunities of added business value
• Lead the registration strategy and advocacy activities to ensure LTO of our portfolio
• Manage the budget effectively (internal and external resources)

Accountabilities

• Accountability for the timely and successful registration of innovation within the BA
• Co-ordinate the CP Development and CP Regulatory function in the BA and across crop teams ensuring the effective and efficient use of internal technical resources
• Support the development of CPD capabilities giving opportunities to grow to team members
• Ensures in coordination with Regulatory Syngentas new products and solutions are in the major protocols of relevant producers for the food chain and the preservation of existing product and solution in the major protocols of relevant producers.
• Provide expert technical consultancy to ensure technical integrity of all offers
• Support commercial teams and customers
• Ensures the technical integrity of the key offers and solutions driving growth
• Develop and interact with an external network of key influencers to support the business Technical / Influencers
• Drive External Collaborations with Universities Research Organisations Start-ups and relevant industries to identify innovation opportunities position Syngenta as collaborator of choice and to identify and develop new talents
• Ensures alignment of the regulatory plan to the commercial plan and BA strategy
• Leads the development of stewardship and sustainability activities in the BA and aligning them with and into commercial solutions and offers cross crop
• Drive establishment continued development and utilization of the CPD Knowledge Centre
• Ensure effective Knowledge Transfer and handover of activities to TMD and commercial teams
• Understand Syngenta pipeline (all current and future technologies) and identify opportunities for EASA
