The Team

The Supreme Court Scheduling team is a close-knit hardworking and organized group dedicated to supporting the smooth operation of the Supreme Court. This three-person office collaborates with other scheduling teams Court Services and Sheriff Services while working alongside judges legal professionals and the public. With a focus on equity diversity and inclusion the team values collaboration and mutual respect as they coordinate the scheduling of civil family and criminal proceedings playing a critical role in ensuring access to justice across British Columbia.

The Role

As a Scheduling Coordinator youll play a key role in ensuring timely access to justice by scheduling civil family and criminal trials conferences and hearings. Working in a fast-paced dynamic environment youll interact directly with the public legal counsel and judiciary to coordinate court proceedings and manage court documents. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a legal setting balancing organization multitasking and adaptability to meet shifting prioritiesall while contributing to a fair and effective judicial system that serves diverse communities.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
  • Two years experience in a dynamic deadline conscious work environment
  • Experience/training in data entry spreadsheets and the current MS Office suite
  • Experience providing customer service

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience working in a legal setting such as court services Judiciary law office or justice sector
  • Experience working in the court system
  • Experience working with Supreme Court Scheduling System or CEIS software
  • Post secondary education and/or training related to law or justice studies

This is for one (1) permanent opportunity in Prince George.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
