Communications Manager
Position Overview
Morreale Communications is seeking aCommunicationsManager to supportvariouspublic-sector andhealthcareclients through high-quality writing thoughtful counsel and strong day-to-day account leadership. This roleis responsible formanaging communications deliverables across multiple workstreamsmaintainingclear and consistent client communication and ensuring timelines budgets and internal coordination stay on track.
The ideal candidate is an excellent writeran organized project manager and a confident communicator who can manage details while keeping sight of the larger communications goals.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Account Management
Serve as a day-to-day client contact ensuring consistent communication responsiveness and follow-through
Prepare meetingagendas document next steps andmaintainclear action-item accountability
Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensuretimelycompletion of deliverables
Support senior leadership in managing client expectations andidentifyingsolutions when priorities shift
Writing Editing & Message Development
Draft edit andfinalizecommunications materials including press releases media statements talking points FAQs newsletters website copy social content stakeholder updates and internal communications
Translate complex topics and public-sector information into clearaccurate audience-friendly messaging
Ensure consistency in tone style and brand voice across all communications
Maintainhigh standardsfor accuracy clarity and attention to detail particularly for public-facing materials
Project Management & Budget Oversight
Manage timelines workflows approvals and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects
Track project budgets and spending supportingaccurateforecasting and proactive budget management
Coordinate with vendors and partners including estimates scopes of work and invoice tracking
Identifyrisks early and elevate issues appropriately with recommended solutions
Communications Planning & Team Collaboration
Support the development of strategic communications plans content calendars and campaign materials
Collaborate closely with colleagues acrossaccount teamscreativeand clients.
Contribute to internal process improvements that strengthen consistency efficiency and quality
Qualifications
5-7 years of professional experience in public relations communications or related fields
Agency experience preferred; experience supporting government or public-sector clients strongly preferred
Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing across multiple communications formats
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines andmaintainingquality
Strong judgment professionalism and discretion especially when working on sensitive topics
Experience managing budgets timelines and vendor coordination
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office; comfort with project management tools is a plusIE: AsanaMailChimpand Constant Contact.
Candidates mustpossessa current valid drivers license as some travel isrequiredfor eventsin the Chicagoland area and downstate.

Compensation
Salary range: $70000$80000commensuratewith experience

This position willreportto the Senior Director of is a hybrid role and will work out of the Rosemont office three days a week.
