Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

We are seeking a Head of Strategy and Business Development for Business Line US in the Motion Drive Products Division in New Berlin Wisconsin. This position offers career advancement in a global leader of LV Drives. You will work with the Business Line Head and Leadership Team to drive strategic growth in the U.S. market as well as with the global Strategy team on topics of relevance to the global Division.


In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the definition and continuous refinement of ABBs strategy in collaboration with the ABBs leadership team. Each day you will act as a sparring partner for senior leadership on strategic topics. You will also showcase your expertise by leading business development projects and strategic planning.

The work model for the role is: hybrid/remote

This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in New Berlin WI.

While a local candidate capable of working Hybrid is preferred we will also consider Remote talent capable of traveling onsite as needed.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop implement and continuously refresh US Strategy
  • Design and monitor the execution of strategic initiatives with Business Line LT
  • Collaborating across Drive Products division globally to ensure alignment efficiency
    and effectiveness of Local Division US Strategy
  • Accelerate the Business Line strategy through M&A. Manage the full M&A lifecycle pipeline generation outreach target development deal execution and integration with support from relevant BL and global teams
  • Build partnerships with US industrial start-ups and venture capital
  • Support management in evaluating opportunities and leading special projects

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • 10 years experience developing and executing business strategies in the electrification or automation industry
  • Deep understanding of market needs growth segments value proposition development and operations
  • Bachelors or Masters in a technical or financial field
  • Entrepreneurial assertive and influential across all levels
  • Strong strategic communication and collaboration skills
  • Agile and adaptable in various settings and cultures

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicants qualifications and experience this position is expected to pay between $162000 and $259200 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
