Assistant Finance Analyst

Looking to kick-start your career in finance This is a great opportunity to join our Group Finance team supporting month-end processes management reporting forecasting and budgeting across Enabling Functions and the Group Expenses portfolio.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is analytical detail-oriented and keen to build a strong foundation in financial analysis and accounting. Youll be supported by experienced finance professionals and gain exposure to core financial operations within a large complex financial services organisation.

What youll do

• Support delivery of month-end finance processes accurately and on time
• Investigate and resolve data variances and reconciliations
• Prepare and process accounting journals
• Assist with management reporting and performance insights
• Support forecasting and budgeting activities
• Maintain and update financial systems and databases
• Collaborate with finance teams and key stakeholders across the business
• Build strong relationships to understand business drivers and trends

What youll bring

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting Finance Business or a related discipline
• Up to 2 years experience in an accounting or finance-related role (or relevant graduate experience)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Confidence working with data and financial information
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
• Exposure to finance systems such as Oracle TM1/Cognos or Power BI (desirable)
• Interest in building a career within financial services
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
