Responsibilities

• Design implement and enhance secure AWS cloud architectures supporting cloud migration initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with government and industry security frameworks including NIST SP 800-53.

• Lead research efforts and collaborate across security engineering and development teams.

• Recommend improvements to AWS Landing Zone environments and governance models.

• Develop and document cybersecurity guidance for cloud migration and implementation.

• Evaluate recommend and integrate cloud security technologies and services.

• Coordinate regularly with stakeholders to review deliverables timelines and expectations.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance on secure cloud architecture decisions.

Qualifications

Required

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

• 4 years of experience designing and architecting solutions in AWS cloud environments.

• 20 years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting large-scale complex environments.

• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Computer Science or a related field (additional experience may substitute).

• One or more AWS certifications including:

  • AWS Certified Developer (Associate or Professional)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate

  • AWS Certified Security Specialty

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional

• Strong technical leadership facilitation and meeting management skills.

Desired

• Experience producing security-focused technical documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience supporting Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) requirements.

• Familiarity with enterprise-scale AWS environments and Landing Zone Accelerator frameworks.
