Description

The Department of Pediatrics Behavioral Health at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Neuropsychology Fellow. This two-year fellowship provides advanced training in comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and consultation for children and adolescents with neurological medical and developmental conditions. Fellows gain experience in inpatient consultation-liaison outpatient specialty clinics (e.g. stroke concussion neurodevelopmental disorders) interdisciplinary collaboration and research productivity. Training follows the Houston Conference Guidelines for specialty preparation in clinical neuropsychology with structured supervision and mentorship to support licensure and board certification.



Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric patients with neurological and medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy TBI cardiac genetic disorders neurodevelopmental disorders) in inpatient and outpatient settings.

  2. Interpret test results and provide integrated reports with recommendations for medical educational and psychosocial planning.

  3. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences (e.g. epilepsy surgery).

  4. Provide feedback to families and collaborate with schools and care teams.

  5. Engage in research activities including data collection analysis and dissemination.

  6. Contribute to scholarly products (e.g. conference presentations manuscripts).

  7. Attend didactic seminars and supervision sessions.

  8. Mentor interns or practicum students as appropriate.

  9. Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA/CPA-accredited program in clinical psychology.

  • Completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship with a focus on pediatric neuropsychology.

  • Foundational training in neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based interventions for children and families.

  • Eligible for provisional licensure in Tennessee prior to start date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with pediatric medical populations and prior research productivity.
