This role provides leadership for records compliance registration systems academic policy execution and student lifecycle processes while building strong partnerships across the University. Job Description:
What Were Looking For:
Extensive experience in university academic records registration and FERPA compliance
Proven leadership experience managing professional staff in a higher education environment
Strong knowledge of degree audits transcript evaluation graduation clearance and academic policy
Experience with student information systems and reporting tools (Workday experience is a plus)
Demonstrated ability to translate institutional priorities into operational plans
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive improvement
Collaborative leadership style with strong relationship-building skills across campus
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse population is preferred
What Youll Be Doing:
Lead all Graduate and Professional Studies records and registration operations including transcripts degree conferral enrollment verification academic status changes and graduation eligibility
Serve as the official custodian of University academic records for Graduate and Professional Studies ensuring accuracy integrity security and regulatory compliance
Supervise and develop Records staff providing leadership coaching and performance management
Oversee grade processing changes and incomplete grade monitoring in partnership with faculty and academic leadership
Manage academic scheduling for Graduate and Professional Studies programs and additional campuses
Lead production of the academic calendar catalog course schedules and sub-sessions
Partner with Academic Affairs Student Financial Services Financial Aid Admissions Advising IT and Student Success to ensure seamless student processes
Oversee federal and National Student Clearinghouse reporting and compliance
Respond to subpoenas and legal requests for student records in coordination with University legal counsel
Maintain current knowledge of federal regulations best practices and emerging technologies in academic records and registration
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
Minimum of five years of professional experience in post-secondary records registration or a closely related field including supervisory responsibility
Demonstrated leadership organizational and operational management experience
Extensive knowledge of FERPA and federal regulations governing academic records
Strong planning communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to lead complex processes with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
Evidence of Christian commitment and active church addition staff agree to live in agreement with PLNUs Community Life Covenant.
