Scaffolding Estimator Greater London & South East DOE Permanent Office-based with site visits
Blue Recruitment Personnel is working exclusively with a well-established independent scaffolding contractor operating across
Greater London and the
South East.
Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of work our client is looking to appoint an
experienced Scaffolding Estimator to join a busy close-knit team and take full ownership of pricing enquiries from initial site visit through to final quotation.
This is a
hands-on commercially focused role combining office-based estimating with regular site visits to ensure accurate competitive and well-structured pricing.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend site visits to measure works assess access constraints and confirm scope
- Prepare full and detailed estimates covering labour materials transport/logistics and preliminaries
- Produce clear professional quotations and proposals for clients
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries estimates and client communications
- Liaise with clients to clarify requirements respond to queries and negotiate where required
- Support cost control and budget tracking throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay up to date with scaffolding methods market rates and industry developments
Candidate Requirements:- Minimum 3 years experience as a Scaffolding Estimator (scaffolding experience essential)
- Strong knowledge of tube & fitting and/or system scaffolds
- Confident using estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain scope and negotiate professionally
- Proactive organised team player
- Full UK driving licence (for site visits)
