We are seeking a passionate nurturing and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Stratford-upon-Avon starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Nursery class delivering creative engaging and child-centred lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will be joining a supportive Early Years team where planning reflective practice and professional development are actively encouraged. Senior leaders are approachable and committed to staff wellbeing and career growth.
The Role
As a Nursery Teacher you will plan deliver and assess stimulating learning experiences that develop childrens skills across all areas of the EYFS. You will create a nurturing safe and engaging environment that promotes curiosity independence and confidence. Observation and assessment will be central to your practice ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
You will work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure high-quality provision across the Early Years phase. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is essential to support childrens development both in school and at home.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality EYFS lessons
Create a safe nurturing and stimulating learning environment
Observe assess and record childrens progress accurately
Use assessment to inform planning and next steps
Support childrens personal social and emotional development
Promote positive behaviour independence and communication skills
Collaborate with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings training and professional development
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in EYFS or Nursery settings
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic
Possess excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
Be reflective adaptable and committed to continuous improvement
Show a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Early Career Teachers are welcome and will receive mentoring and support.
