The Role:Senior Specialist Trade Compliance Asia

Our Kulim facility isseekinga highly motivated individual to join our Asia Trade Compliance this role you will be primarily responsible for overseeing Malaysia Trade Compliance activities as well as supporting Export Control requirements for other assigned countries across Asia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow yourexpertise contribute to regional initiatives and collaborate closely with our global trade compliance organization.

WhatYoullDo:

Ensure daily import and export operations or activities are executed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and requirements (especially the US Malaysia and assigned Asiaexport control requirements).

Screening of customer to ensure legitimate end user and enduses.

Evaluate products for USMalaysiaandAsiaexport control requirements. Support license management including license application license tracking and record keeping

Determineandmaintaintariff classification (HS Code) and ECCN in SAP drive process improvement to ensure accuracy.

Monitor and review/releasecontrolblocksin SAP Global Trade Services (GTS)for Asia.

Monitor and evaluate imports that can qualifyfor FTAdutiesexemption.

Respond to ad hoc trade compliance related requests and issues and developimplementandmaintaina standard procedure to ensure future compliance.

Stay up to date on regulation developments understand the regulatoryrequirementsand assess the actions/changesto keep compliance.

Manage and improve company CP (Compliance Program) by conducting compliance training conducting internalauditmaintainingessential record keeping and other compliance related activities.

Facilitate externalauditwhen.

Support other projects asand assigned.

What We Seek:

Bachelors degree in trade or international businessor related field.

5 or more years work experience ininternationaltrade compliance related field.

Knowledge ofUS and Malaysianexport licensingprograms. Familiarity with another Asian export licensing program is a plus.

Experience withSAP & GTS.

Enthusiastic self-motivatedand responsible.

Must be proficient in English. Solid presentation communications and influencing skills able to work with other countries and cultures.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

Demonstrated project management capabilityand ability to cope with multiple prioritiessimultaneously.

Strong experienceconductingTrade Compliance Audits.

Priorexperience in aregulated industry(e.g.semiconductorhigh-tech).
