Our CAP accredited Laboratory Services team is growing and looking for the ideal Medical Technologist candidate to join the team. Were equipped with the latest instrumentation to support a wide range of lab tests and have specialties that include chemistry hematology blood bank and more. The Medical Technologist performs chemical microscopic serologic hematological immunohematologic parasitic and bacteriologic tests. Attention to detail and quality control will be critical when collecting specimens for analysis. Excellent communication skills will be valuable when assisting patient inquiries and working with team members or other departments.

What youll need:

• National certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) with ASCP AMT AAB or equivalent certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or in a biological science from a 4-year accredited college or university required.
• Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy (MA-Phleb.) certification required. Application for MA-Phlebotomist certification must be submitted to DOH within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate required.
• One year of medical technologist with phlebotomy experience preferred.

Education and/or Experience

MT

• National certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with ASCP AMT AAB or equivalent certification required within 6 months of hire
• MLT AA required
• Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy (MA-Phleb.) certification required. Application for MA-Phlebotomist certification must be submitted to DOH within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate required
• One year of medical technologist with phlebotomy experience preferred
• Three years of experience preferred for MLTs hired for night shift due to working alone

Schedule

1.0 FTE; 40hours/week; Night Shift (2100-0730)
