Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Lead Customer Service Officer of the Financial Aid and Veterans Assistance Department this position provides comprehensive customer service support to students across multiple functional areas of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist students in multiple functional areas of the Financial Aid and Veterans Assistance Department
  • Perform data entry record keeping application processing and related administrative tasks
  • Communicate effectively with students applicable family members advisors outside agencies financial aid officers and veterans certifying officials
  • Support students in completing applications and maintaining eligibility for financial aid and veterans benefits
  • Provide training support across all functional areas including onboarding new staff and supporting updated processes for current staff
  • Deliver ongoing support to ensure accurate and timely service delivery

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a bachelors degree.

  • Ability to communicate complex and multi-layered information clearly effectively and with empathy
  • Ability to learn interpret and follow applicable laws regulations policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment to maintain compliance while providing excellent customer service in all internal and external interactions
  • Ability to manage assigned job duties across both short- and long-term time frames
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
