Job Summary
Manage and troubleshoot multiple applications in support of Wellmarks systems. Provide tactical troubleshooting and resolution of system incidents and problems while collaborating with application delivery infrastructure and other business partners. Maintain documentation and evaluate changes to determine the risk to current environments.
Qualifications :
Required:
- 5 years of direct and applicable experience OR Bachelors degree in Computer Science MIS or related field of study plus 1 years of network administration database administration management experience (ex. Angular 2 (or newer) NodeJS (or newer) TypeScript C# .NET Java or analyzing data and utilizing reporting tools such as SQL Business Objects/Power BI etc.)
- Ability to react quickly and taking steps to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot issues
- Proven communication skills working with stakeholders within the business and/or external vendors
- Ability to continually prioritize with assistance from leader
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable as priorities shift
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems and troubleshoot the root cause of the problem
- A self-starter who takes prompt action to accomplish objectives
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree
- Ability or interest in mentoring/coaching others
- Experience working within an Agile team environment
- Experience partnering with global staffing vendors to deliver projects
- Experience with Power BI tenant/capacity/workspace administration semantic modeling DAX performance patterns data lake and data gateways
- Experience with SAP Business Objects administration CMC scheduling universes/semantic layer
- SAS EG and SAS Scheduler
- Experience with enforcing best practice and governance
- Experience with scripting/automation
Additional Information :
Job Responsibilities
a. Responsible for managing and troubleshooting multiple applications in support of Wellmarks application systems. Provide technical guidance and coordinate of system implementations and upgrades. Monitor systems availability performance and capacity and advise leadership of system health.
b. Provide tactical troubleshooting and resolution of system incidents and problems while collaborating with application delivery infrastructure and business partners.
c. Respond to new release and customer inquiries and become well-versed with common problem inquiries and be able to provide immediate solutions.
d. Collaborate with infrastructure and information security to ensure that regulatory and security requirements are maintained.
e. Maintain documentation and design papers defining infrastructure implementation systems administration system management testing problem escalation and maintenance.
f. Assist in the research evaluation and selection of technology solutions that are compliant with Wellmarks adopted standards allowing integration into the existing environments with minimal impact to users.
g. Evaluate changes to determine the risk to current technical environment to determine and recommend the most effective implementation strategy.
h. In support of production/application systems provide application knowledge/expertise to support project investments. Provide system availability performance expectations and capacity requirements.
i. Attain and leverage technical expertise of current and emerging technologies as well as exhibiting a practical project management skill-set to promote strong internal and external customer relationships.
j. Develop business knowledge of the application in order to effectively provide support maintenance.
k. Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts and plans in the event of a disaster. Ensure minimal impacts to users during implementation and post maintenance activities
l. As needed may engage in development activities to support enhancements and maintenance of application systems or project investments.
m. Other duties as assigned.
