Performs inspections checks and tests for quality assurance of manufactured product to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.
- Inspects pipes for defects such as blowholes cracks and rough spots.
- Weighs and counts pipes and records inspection data on standard form.
- Communicate with supervisors of quality defect.
- Perform calibration of gauges.
- Suggests changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency of process.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills - Computer literate some training will be available. Ability to use scanner and copier.
