YOUR FUTURE ROLE

The SAP Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region with more than 20 countries is organized into 3 Clusters Austria Cluster Central Cluster (incl. 8 countries) and Eastern Europe Central Asia Cluster (ECA) Cluster (incl. 14 countries). The size of our teams differs by country due to major Development Labs and centralized Service Centers located in CEE. Although not directly reporting to the MD these units are an integral part of what makes our Market Unit unique. The position includes direct leadership responsibility for around 220 employees within a broader CEE organization of roughly 5600 people.

The MD (f/m/d) will take overall P&L responsibility for the performance of SAP CEE. He/She will drive the strategic planning process for SAP Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in alignment with the overall MEE strategy and he/she will strongly expand and develop a sustainable SAP Cloud business. The MD CEE builds and maintains vital relationships with customers and partners to strengthen SAPs presence and increase awareness in the region.

All this will be done with the highest level of operational excellence: The MD will help design and then implement the execution of the defined go-to-market strategy each year which requires a structured disciplined approach with solid and scalable management and metrics as well as sustainable change management.

Though the MDs primary responsibility focuses on the sales function he/she ensures effective operations of all functions across SAP CEE and its interface with MEE and global organizations. This will involve strong leadership and direction and requires proven experience of fostering a collaborative environment across multiple business disciplines and geographies.

Furthermore it is essential to build a network of executive relationships across industry community and business groups and with key partners and customers. The MD CEE is the spokesperson representing SAP on the market and he/she advocates SAP values and represent SAP as employer together with other members of the management board towards the works council.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a highly experienced market facing proven leader (f/m/d) in customer success execution and customer empathy across LoBs and/or Industry who leads with expertise and an innovation mindset. The ideal candidate (f/m/d) leads a matrixed organization through vision engagement and influence and builds a culture of commitment accountability and trust.

Moreover the candidate should have:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Software and Cloud sales required.
  • Experience in Managing a P&L.
  • Experience as people manager as MMM or MMO (Manager managing Managers or Manager managing Organization).
  • Deep knowledge of the CEE market.
  • Deep Cloud /SaaS expertise.
  • Track record of leading customer-facing sales services or customer engagement leadership.
  • Track record of shaping organizational culture toward customer centricity innovation cloud and entrepreneurship.
  • Proven track record in external and internal stakeholder management representing out of the Headquarter of SAP.
  • Fluent English language skills on business level required.
