We are hiring a university student for a part-time internship in Performance & Systems Engineering team.

The role ofPerformance & Systems Engineering team operating in the department developing electrically powered centrifugal compressors for refrigerants is to perform calculations which allow us to analyse the performance and efficiency of products working at conditions specified by the customer (e.g. as part of an HVAC system) make test requests evaluate test results and participate in specification of new product properties. A student is expected to gain insight into the context of performed activities get familiar with specific (software) tools and practice teamwork.

Responsibilities
Participation in projects for both internal and external customers
Interpretation of requests for simulation or testing carrying out of less complicated calculations (Excel) and simulations (GT-SUITE) specification of test plans
Creation of documentation for experiments in preparation involving simple layouts (Visio) and component lists (Excel) describing the test rig
Evaluation of simulation and test results and their sharing in the form of technical report or presentation
Maintenance and extension of existing computational models (GT-SUITE & Excel)
Research using publicly available sources with the goal to improve our understanding of the systems in which our products are supposed to be operated and the conditions they would be working at

Requirements
University student of Mechanical Engineering
Willingness to learn
Good understanding or willingness to deepen understanding of thermodynamics compressor technologies and air conditioning/heating
Experience in Excel data processing (plus MS Office in general)
Familiarity with GT-SUITE software is an advantage (not a prerequisite)
English knowledge (B2)
