Architectural Designer
KBRs Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Architectural Designer to tosupport thelargest offshore oilfield in Qatar Bul Hanine. This willplay a vital role in the countrys oil production portfolio. The expansion project is part of Qatars broader strategy to sustain and enhance its oil output while simultaneously investing heavily in its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production growth. This role willperform global analyses of offshore structures.
The Principal Architectural Designer shall be familiar with Architectural works for oil & gas facilities (onshore and/or offshore) producing 2D drawings and 3D models for the detailed design of buildings and architectural systems. This role requires the candidate to able to work independently self-check the correctness of the work produced and submit the deliverables via the document control system. The candidate shall be able to incorporate and coordinate with other disciplines on the Structural building frames and the Electrical/Instrumentation/Telecoms layout requirements
Responsibilities:
Discipline and Technical Delivery:
Produce 2D detailed design drawings of buildings (e.g. control buildings electrical and instrumentation buildings workshops warehouses laboratory blast resistant modules TR shelters).
Produce layouts GA drawings sections/elevations door/window/finishes/furniture schedules and bill of quantities.
Produce drawings showing blast and fire zoning layouts fire & life safety egress plans acoustic/thermal provisions and architectural interfaces with HVAC electrical instrumentation and piping.
Produce REVIT and E3D models of all buildings and architectural elements.
Attend 3D model review and clear clashes and punch lists.
Multi-Discipline Coordination:
Coordinate with Structural Civil Piping/Layout Mechanical/HVAC E&I Telecoms Fire & Safety to resolve clashes.
Oversee BIM/3D model (Navisworks/Revit) integration and ensure model to drawing consistency.
Incorporate comments for architectural material submittals (doors cladding roofing flooring ceilings insulation coatings blast rated assemblies).
Update as-built drawings.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma or bachelors in architecture (or equivalent).
At least 15 years of experience as architectural designer within oil & gas / petrochemical / energy projects including detailed design on EPC/EPCI contracts.
Strong track record of multi-discipline coordination and BIM-enabled delivery.
Proficiency with: AutoCAD Revit (preferred) E3D Navisworks BIM 360/ACC Bluebeam and office tools.
Familiar with 3D model reviews clash detection and clearing of clashes and punch lists.
Working knowledge of material systems: insulated panels blast-rated doors architectural finishes suitable for corrosive environments.
