Basic Job Functions:
The Brick Mason is responsible for coordinating refractory activities across all aspects of the NSLX operation. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to working with other melt shop processes with an emphasis on communication cost reduction and reliability of refractory components; bricking EAF Ladles Tundish and all other ancillary refractory components. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Melt Shop process and refractory operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current or previous experience working in Melt Shop.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
