Position: Cheer - Head Coach - Competition
Location: Middle School

Program Leadership & Development

Develop and communicate a clear vision for the comp cheer team aligned with school values
Plan and conduct structured practices choreography sessions and conditioning workouts
Establish team rules expectations and performance standards
Supervise assistant coach(es)
Build a culture of accountability teamwork and respect
Competition & Performance
Prepare team for athletic events pep rallies showcases and competitions
Register and coordinate participation in competitions
Travel with the team and supervise students during events
Ensure compliance with competition rules and school policies
Coordinate travel supervision and student safety during events
Athlete Development
Provide technical cheer instruction in motions jumps tumbling technique and crowd leading
Emphasize strength training flexibility conditioning and injury prevention
Monitor academic eligibility and reinforce academic expectations
Develop leadership skills among team captains and members
Promote sportsmanship teamwork and positive representation of the school
Administration & Compliance
Manage program budget with activities director fundraising and inventory (uniforms equipment)
Communicate effectively and collaborate with high school competition cheer coach
Communicate effectively with parents administration and Student Activities staff
Coordinate music licensing and choreography approvals
Ensure compliance with school district policies and state athletic association rules

Required Certifications:
Fundamentals of Coaching
Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit
CPR
Concussion Training
Medication Authorization
