Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town.
This is a field-based external sales role focusing on building strong customer relationships and driving sales and rentals of industrial equipment and tooling solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and rentals of industrial equipment and tooling
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to clients
- Conduct site visits and prepare quotations
- Perform follow-ups and close sales
- Arrange and assist with product demonstrations (training provided)
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales and gross profit targets
- Plan and manage a weekly customer visit schedule
- Perform cold calling to generate new business leads
- Handle sales administration including invoicing and back orders
- Comply with all Safety Health and Environmental policies
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Relevant trade qualification (Welder or Boilermaker Trade Test preferred)
- Minimum 34 years stable experience in technical sales (preferably welding engineering or industrial equipment)
- Own reliable vehicle and valid drivers licence (Code 08 or equivalent)
- Own cellphone
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Strong customer relationship and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning organisational and time management abilities
