QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration required. Licensure or eligible for license from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a School Business Administrator. Five years of experience in accounting business administration or the equivalent. MCPPO licensure preferred. Familiarity with Regional School Districts preferred as well as experience with MSBA building projects. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:To oversee supervise and ensure efficient business procedures at Whittier Regional School District. The School Business Manager reports directly to the RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains all business and financial records in accordance with School Committee requirements in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws and federal as the chief procurement officer for purchases of supplies materials and equipment in compliance with bidding and advertising through the Plant Facilities Manager the operation of the facility and is responsible for monitoring payments and through the Transportation Coordinator the student transportation through the Food Service Manager the school lunch program and purchases for Culinary Payroll Accounts Payable and the Comptroller a timeline for the budget and recommends it to the Superintendent in accordance with the regional agreement and state and monitors the operation of the annual school budget and provides periodic updates including notice of any potential overruns to the for preparation completion and submission of state for the insurance program for students and at School Committee meetings and budget meetings within the of all revolving accounts including invoices of revenue documents for the annual audit and responds in writing to recommendations contained in the annual audit report with recommendations for appropriate policies procedures and/or actions to the -chairs a committee of staff members from each department to develop and update a five-year capital and approves payroll and accounts payable warrants for other duties as directed by the AND WORKING CONDITIONS:$165000 - $ Month Position7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
