We are currently recruiting for a People and Culture Coordinator. This role ensures consistent execution of recruitment administration onboarding employee support HR systems management performance cycle coordination and training administration enabling a positive employee experience and strong operational compliance.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to policies benefits HR programs and general workplace practices escalating complex matters as appropriate.
Support supervisors with day-to-day employee relations guidance including attendance management performance documentation respectful workplace practices and early issue resolution.
Support training and development administration including course coordination attendance tracking certification records and learning system updates.
Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings applicant screening interview scheduling reference checks offer preparation and onboarding coordination for both field and office roles.
Deliver consistent and compliant onboarding experiences ensuring all employment documentation system access site readiness and orientation requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HRIS including contracts policy acknowledgements role changes compensation updates and personnel documentation.
Administer employee lifecycle transactions including new hires promotions transfers leaves of absence and terminations with accuracy confidentiality and audit readiness.
Assist with workplace investigations documentation and corrective action processes in alignment with company policies and employment legislation.
Coordinate performance review cycles including system setup completion tracking manager support documentation management and scheduling logistics.
Prepare and maintain HR reporting and metrics including headcount turnover compliance tracking training participation and workforce analytics.
Administer benefits enrollments changes and employee support inquiries in coordination with benefit providers and payroll.
Ensure HR practices comply with BC Employment Standards WCB requirements privacy legislation and internal policies maintaining confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
Support Health & Safety initiatives including incident documentation modified work coordination and return-to-work administration.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline HR processes improve system utilization and enhance employee experience.
Provide administrative and project support for People & Culture initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in a Human Resources function
Experience in the construction or industrial sector considered a strong asset
Demonstrated professionalism with strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of BC Employment Standards Human Rights Code and basic occupational health & safety requirements
Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes including onboarding performance management employee relations and offboarding
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook Teams); comfort learning new systems quickly
Ability to build trusted working relationships with employees field leaders and management teams
Sound judgment discretion and ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and tactfully
