As a Product Sales Manager for Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) you will be responsible for growing the business in your assigned market while building strong longterm partnerships with customers. The role focuses on increasing sales and profitability while contributing to high customer satisfaction and sustainable business relationships.

This is a fully remote position formally based in Darmstadt with required travel to customer locations

What youll do

You will lead and develop the PMC product offering in your area supporting business line objectives by improving cost competitiveness and profitability. Your responsibility covers the full PMC portfolio including forming fabrics press felts belts and dryer fabrics

You will identify and develop new business opportunities alongside managing and expanding existing customer accounts working closely with mill stakeholders at all organizational levels. The position combines commercial responsibility with handson customer support including onsite measurements technical analyses reporting product recommendations and technical negotiations. Various PMC measurements in demanding conditions at customers will cover roughly 80% of your working time.

You will join the EMEA Central Sales Team and have the following responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell the organizations products and services and provide technical sales support.
  • Pursue sales leads visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels.
  • Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority; and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
  • Identify research and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
  • Refer sales leads customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or masters degree in chemical production industrial Management or similar
  • Technical knowledge of paper making process and industrial fabrics
  • Proven track record of strong customer service and/or sales and/or account management skills preferably in mill environment.
  • Experience of approximately 2-3 years in sales area preferably in a multinational context
  • Good IT skills
  • Fluent English and German skills both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as an essential part of the role

You enjoy working close to production environments and feel comfortable spending time on machines performing measurements and translating technical observations into clear customer reports. You are able to work independently prioritize effectively and adapt established sales and operational processes. Analytical thinking problem-solving skills and resilience in a fast-paced environment are essential. Characteristics such as a spirit of initiative dynamism and teamwork are valued.
