Job Description

A Mechanical Project Manager / Mechanical Project Lead / Mechanical Engineering Manager is required to join an industry leader in California.

The successful Mechanical Project Manager / Mechanical Project Lead / Mechanical Engineering Manager will have a strong background in managing the delivery of mechanical construction projects from estimating and design through to construction ensuring the projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Mechanical Project Manager / Mechanical Project Lead / Mechanical Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

Review contracts providing feedback on scope value terms and conditions to the Operations Manager.
Develop and maintain project schedules ensuring they are updated weekly and aligned with project progress.
Manage procurement of commodities equipment and subcontractors ensuring timely submittals and deliveries.
Prepare and present monthly progress billing to clients and negotiate payment terms.
Oversee labor tracking monitor productivity and communicate project updates to the field team.
Conduct weekly meetings set production goals and report project updates including margin projections to the Operations Manager.
Handle Change Order Management manage client relations and independently price Change Orders.
Utilize construction software (e.g. Bluebeam Procore) for project documentation and oversee Punchlist startup and commissioning activities.

Project Engineer / Controls Engineer / Lead Engineer Requirements:

5 years of experience as a project manager in mechanical construction or related industries (Data Center Life Sciences).
Proficient in MS Office and construction software (Bluebeam Procore ACC etc.).
Data center experience is preferred.
Experience managing large projects ($5-10MM) simultaneously.
Local travel may be required with mileage reimbursement provided.
