Mainframe Developer

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Mainframe Developer position! This is a 12 month contract opportunity and will be remote in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

Position Overview:

Were seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support critical banking systems in a highly regulated financial environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in legacy mainframe technologies systems integration and network protocol interactions and will contribute to the development maintenance and modernization of mainframe-based applications.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Design develop test and maintain mainframe applications using CICS MQ (Message Queue) and DB2.
• Analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into functional code within a z/OS environment.
• Integrate application functionality across mainframe network components including TCP/IP IBM Enterprise Extender (EE) and IBM VTAM.
• Perform installations and maintenance using IBM SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended).
• Troubleshoot issues at the application system and network levels; provide support for production deployments and operational tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators network engineers and other developers.
• Ensure that systems and processes comply with internal standards security policies and banking regulations.
• Provide technical leadership mentoring and documentation to support development best practices and knowledge sharing.

What Youll Need to Have:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Mainframe Developer (10 years preferred)
• Hands-on expertise with Mainframe CICS MQ and DB2
• Working knowledge of mainframe networking protocols including TCP/IP IBM EE and IBM VTAM
• Experience with IBM SMP/E for mainframe system updates and patching
• Strong understanding of z/OS environments and mainframe system architecture
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk controls
• Leadership or mentoring experience on mainframe teams
• Experience in banking/financial services industry preferred

Pay Range:$50-$57/hr
