Position Overview:

We seek a visionary and experienced Dean of Students to join our this pivotal role you will help guide students through their academic career resolve student concerns and ensure the highest standards of educational excellence are upheld across all programs. As a key member of our leadership team you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of our institution.


Responsibilities:

Student Retention and Satisfaction

  • Completion - All programs exceed the minimum accreditation (NACCAS 50 % or COE 60%) benchmark completion annually.
  • Exam Pass Rate (Licensure) as applicable All programs exceed a minimum of 70% exam pass rate annually with 90% of graduates successfully passing exams.
  • Welcome to Milan Pre-Start Orientation - Conduct with enthusiasm excitement and passion following the company guidelines.
  • New Student Orientation for Allied Health programs and Cosmetology/Barber programs.
  • Partner with Career Services regarding any student issues or concerns prior to and during externship. Students are Educations responsibility through externship.
  • Facility Ensure the classrooms hallways restrooms and breakrooms are clean and customer-friendly.
  • Resolve student requests/concerns within 24-48 hours.
  • Consistently update Complaint Log per company guidelines
  • Guide and oversee the Gold Team following policy guidelines
  • Assist students with requesting the following
  • Leave of Absence (LOA) if no other options are available to continue in the program (submit completed documentation to the campus Dean of Faculty or Director)
  • A session change and submit documentation to staff and communicate with faculty regarding this change.
  • Withdrawal from the program if no other options are available.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Train with the Compliance Team and Registrar Team to follow key policies and procedures.
  • Participate/contribute to campus staff and management meetings.
  • Participate and contribute to the campus Retention Meeting; follow up with students after the Retention Meeting to ensure students focus on meeting the expectations of Student Satisfactory Progress (SAP).
  • Partner with the Campus Director to execute COE Occupational Advisory Committee Meetings (one per year) and an Institutional Advisory Committee Meeting (one per year) or NACCAS Advisory Board Meeting (one per year).
  • Prepare and submit monthly Exam Pass Rate Results Spreadsheet per the required distribution schedule.
  • Consistently execute Compliance and Education policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update the Community Resources Binder to provide immediate suggestions and support to students.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure transparency and effective communication.
  • Update/Post Documents at least quarterly Complaint Log.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in academic administration or instructional capacity preferably at a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Both verbal and written communication are essential. The ability to convey information clearly and effectively to students is crucial.
  • Passion for Student Success: A genuine interest in seeing students thrive and succeed.
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently using effective time management.
  • Customer Service Focus: Continuously maintaining a customer-centered approach ensuring student expectations are exceeded.
  • Successful experience de-escalating situations with a strong focus on conflict resolution.
  • Integrity: Maintaining ethical principles and professional standards in all actions and decisions.
  • Adherence to Core Values: Aligning with the institutions core values such as accountability integrity growth service and communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook for tasks such as report generation email communication and spreadsheet management.
  • Ability to work independently and make consistent decisions based on precedent policy and guidelines.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities.
  • Punctual and reliable; ability work both day and evening hours to support all students in all programs.
