Your day as a Mechanical Designer
As a Full Time Mechanical Designer at VAL-CO Industries in New Holland PA you will be pivotal in delivering innovative mechanical designs and drawings that effectively communicate project concepts. Your role encompasses developing and maintaining a high level of technical expertise for assigned products ensuring compliance with established Engineering procedures for design document control and drawing accuracy. You will support various engineering projects by assisting with equipment testing modifications and preparation of product manuals while also engaging with vendors to foster collaboration. Your proficiency in design software will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records of project work calculations and time investments.
Effective communication with managers stakeholders and customers will be essential to meet business objectives while adhering to Valcos core values of integrity respect and creativity. To excel as a Full Time Mechanical Designer at VAL-CO Industries candidates must possess a solid foundation in mechanical design principles underpinned by a two-year technical degree in Design or Drafting or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years in mechanical design or drafting is essential showcasing a comprehensive grasp of proper drafting procedures and document control principles. Proficiency in design software is crucial as you will be responsible for creating accurate designs and drawings that reflect innovative concepts. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to maintain precise records of project work and calculations. Additionally effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with managers stakeholders and vendors seamlessly.
Your ability to adapt and contribute to engineering project tasks including testing and modifications will be integral to driving success in this role within our dynamic customer-focused environment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
