Position Summary

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department in the Pott College of Science Engineering and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a 9-month non-tenure renewable instructor position beginning Fall 2026.

Duties/Responsibilities

The instructor appointment will include the teaching of non-majors and majors lecture and laboratory courses including but not limited to chemistry for allied health students chemistry for elementary education students and general chemistry.

Required Knowledge and Skills

A minimum of an M.S. in chemistry or related discipline is required.

The Chemistry & Biochemistry Department offers ACS approved chemistry and biochemistry programs and is well equipped with modern instrumentation. It is home to 11 full-time faculty members and approximately 85 undergraduate students and offers support courses for many programs at the institution.
