Position Summary
The Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Chemistry section in a high-volume clinical laboratory. This role ensures regulatory compliance maintains quality standards and leads laboratory staff while supporting testing operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily Chemistry lab operations to ensure accuracy efficiency and compliance.

Lead train and manage laboratory staff.

Ensure compliance with CLIA CAP and Florida state regulations.

Oversee quality control proficiency testing and validation activities.

Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and workflow issues.

Support staffing scheduling and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences or related field.

National certification (ASCP AAB or AMT - Chemistry).

Florida Supervisor License in Clinical Chemistry and Serology.

Minimum 6 years of clinical laboratory experience in Chemistry.

Experience as an MLT or MLS.
Preferred

Supervisory or lead technologist experience.

Experience in high-volume or hospital-based laboratories.
